Essays, Articles and Opinion Pieces  

Do you have thoughts, ideas, or stories you would like to share? Whether it is an essay, article, or opinion piece, we want to hear from you! Follow these steps to submit your work:

1. Eligibility:

  • Open to youth ages 8-12 (2nd - 6th graders).

  • Submissions must be original, written work.

  • Use respectful and appropriate language. Submissions that contain offensive or inappropriate content will not be considered.

2. Topic/Theme:

  • Essay: Choose a topic you are passionate about. It can be informative, personal, or reflective.

  • Article: Write about a topic of interest (current events, history, science, culture, etc.).

  • Opinion Piece: Share your views on a specific issue or debate, offering your perspective.

3. Create a Cover:

   Bring your story to life with a creative cover page designed by you! Whether you prefer drawing by hand, painting with vibrant colors, or crafting

   digital art on a computer or tablet, the choice is yours. Your cover can be:

  • Hand-Drawn: Use pencils, markers, or crayons to sketch your ideas.

  • Painted: Grab your paintbrushes and express your story with watercolors, acrylics, or oils.

  • Digital Art: Create your cover using digital tools and apps on your device.

  • Mixed Media: Combine different materials like magazine cutouts, fabrics, or stickers for a unique collage.​

4. Length:

  • Essays and articles should be between 500-1,000 words.

  • Opinion pieces should be between 300-700 words.

  • Include a brief bio at the end of your essay, article, opinion piece.

5. Submission

  • Upload your Cover and Document/PDF.

  • Use standard formatting: Black ink,  12-point font, Times New Roman or Arial, double-spaced.

6. How to Submit:

  • Click the submit button

6. Deadline:

  • Submissions are ongoing.

7. Selection Criteria:

  • Pieces will be evaluated based on originality, clarity, relevance of topic, and writing quality.

  • Selected works may be published in our online magazine or shared on social media.

8. Rules:

  • Submissions must be original and written by you. No plagiarism will be accepted.

  • Use respectful and appropriate language. Submissions that contain offensive or inappropriate content will not be considered.
